Model Implementation Bill for the Stormont House Agreement

We are pleased to share this on behalf of the drafters of the Model Implementation Bill for the Stormont House Agreement.

A joint conference was organised by Amnesty International, the Committee on the Administration of Justice (CAJ), the Institute of Conflict Transformation and Social Justice Queens University Belfast (QUB) and the Transitional Justice Institute Ulster University which took place on Monday 18 May 2015. At the conference a Model Implementation Bill was introduced for public discussion and consultation. The Model Implementation Bill for the Stormont House Agreement is supported by explanatory notes, both can be found at the links above. The Bill was prepared by a drafting committee comprised of representatives of the Committee on the Administration of Justice, individual academics and visiting scholars from the Queen’s University of Belfast and Ulster University. The notes have been prepared in order to assist the reader of the Model Bill and to help inform debate on it.

Those involved in the drafting committee are: Professor Kieran McEvoy (QUB), Daniel Holder (CAJ), Professor Louise Mallinder (TJI, Ulster), Brian Gormally (CAJ), Jeremy Hill (Visiting Fellow, TJI), Gemma McKeown (CAJ), Anna Bryson (QUB) and Daniel Greenberg (Barrister specialising in legislation).
