Human Rights Day Festival

December 6, 2012December 6, 2012 Patrick CorriganAnnouncements, Bill of Rights, Economic & Social Rights, Events, International

Monday 10 December is International Human Rights Day.  The Human Rights Consortium will be holding a Human Rights Festival during this time, with a theme of ‘Celebrating and Protecting Human Rights’. This will be an opportunity for the wide diversity of groups that work on human rights issues in Northern Ireland to contribute to a shared festival of events that celebrate and promote the importance of human rights in our everyday lives.

More details about each event, including how to book, can be found below.

The keynote event is a panel discussion on ‘Rights and Perceptions’. Speakers include Patricia McKeown (UNISON), Colin Harvey (QUB), Lee Reynolds (DUP) and Liam Clarke (Belfast Telegraph).
